Chargesheet Filed Against Indian Cricketer Mohammed Shami for Dowry and Sexual Harassment

 Kolkata police filed charges on Thursday against fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has been accused of various crimes including assault and sexual harassment by his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. News agency ANI in a tweet said that Shami has been charged under IPC 498A and 354A for dowry and sexual harassment cases respectively. The cricketer - who was part of the Indian team in the ODI series against Australia and is almost sure to make the World Cup squad- has been charged under IPC section 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) by the police.
